½ cup butter
1 cup water
3(1 ounce) squares of sweetened chocolate
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
1 ½ teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cake pans (9 inches) and dust them with all-purpose flour or spraying baking spray.
Take a small pan and melt butter or margarine with unsweetened chocolate in it. Allow it to cool.
Whisk eggs and sugar until light in color. Add the chocolate mix to it and temper the mix by beating well.
Add warm water (one cup) to the mixture and blend well.
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda and add it to the chocolate mix. Blend well.
